Kays works with expressing joy through abundance in application, her need for color, decorative additions, and mark-making. In her paintings, she unapologetically conveys her femininity and feelings to break out of past confinements in her work. Kays’s enjoyment of being feminine impacts her pleasure in painting florals to convey and find her own thoughts. Her artistic process works intuitively and with happiness to cultivate, nurse, and build the end result.
She is continuing her schooling and getting her Master of Fine Arts at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting. Her work is currently spread throughout Indiana and Maryland for permanent displays and exhibitions.
