Free In My Heart!

This piece is a handmade 54’x 48’x 2’ stretched canvas created from original 1940’s magazine articles and media, layered acrylic, gesso, pumice, tape, and ink. This work includes many WWII references, sexism, belittling quotes, and other types of media based on the prevalence of it back in this time period. There is red and black acrylic paint mostly taking over the piece to give an iconic, powerful statement, and attraction to the same vibe as the media that was being produced in the post-WWII era of media.

This work was created in 2024.
